Looking back on your 2019 do you revel in your successes or have a lot of regrets? Hopefully, you will look back and see all of your successes and I know that you have had many of them. If you have been connected with me on LinkedIn, you know that at the turn of 2019 I had people list a goal to accomplish and vowed to hold them accountable. I got to follow along with many of you who accomplished some exciting goals over the year.
For Licensed To Live, there were some great things that happened over the year as well. One of the biggest accomplishments for this brand was the establishment of a Federally Registered trademark! Yeah that R with the circle around it?? Yes, Licensed To Live®. This trademark includes this podcast, my signature Licensed To Live coaching program, my Award-Winning Book Licensed To Live: A Primer to Rebuilding Your Life After Your Career is Shattered, and my upcoming Licensed To Live® book. This couldn’t be done if I didn’t have great supporters just like you that continue to read, listen, and get inspired from the stories of me or my guests on Licensed To Live. I would like to thank all of you for your listening and support. I am also wishing you the best for the New Year!
This latest Licensed To Live® podcast episode focuses on the 5 most popular episodes of 2019. There were many great guests and episodes over the year. We learned a lot from their experiences keeping their own licenses to live. These episodes were chosen by me, purely based on the number of downloads. In essence, these episodes were picked by you, the firestarters.
Incidentally, the most popular episode of 2018 was episode 37, Do No Harm: Exposing the Hippocratic Hoax with film producer Robyn Symon. We talked about the physician suicide epidemic.
To kick off our list for 2019, we go to episode 39, Physician Sovereignty and Blockchain Technology with Dr. Leah Houston. She tells her “dis” when her information was stolen as a physician and how that changed her career focus to fight and advocate for physician sovereignty and physician rights.
Our next episode on our list we fast forward to episode 56 where we learned about #SoMeDocs founder Dr. Dana Corriel. Dr. Dana tells how blame has “dis’ed” her career while remaining positive and upbeat. She also discusses why it is important for all physicians to be on social media.
Next up on the list is episode 57 “looking for a change from the weather with Katie Fehlinger.” In this episode we speak with Television media personality, Do it yourselfer and meteorologist Katie Fehlinger. She goes for a record number of “dis’es” as she tells of her career transition out of a highly successful meteorology career in a top 5 media market. In this episode she goes for a record breaking amount of “dis’es” and the subsequent mindset shift that she used to move beyond her self-imposed limitations and to really dip into her creative genius.
Now we go back to episode 55 where we talked about Non-Clinical Careers with Dr. John Jurica, host of the Physician Non-Clinical Careers Podcast. He talks about how he was dissed in his career that led him out of the hospital into a Non-Clinical career path.
Our most popular episode of 2019 comes from the awakening tale of Dr. Niran Al-Agba where she tells of how an insurance company nearly wrecked her career in episode 51. She was disempowered when an insurance company tried to make the case that she was committing fraud when it was clear that she was not. Then she gives her advice on how to protect you from being a target as a physician.
