The Time For Change Is Now!

With growing inflationary pressures, decreased job satisfaction, and increased quiet quitting, this episode is about how you should spend a portion of your summer to get out of your current situation. Prepare yourself and take your gifts, talents, and expertise on the road if your job is just not giving you the returns you expect. Whether nurse, doctor, executive, or physician, it may be time to take a detour on your career path and we will be your guide.

The Job of Your Dreams

Gallup recently completed a poll on the global workforce for 2023. Many of the stats are dismal as the workforce feels many different disses. We look at this survey and highlight some of the things that are bringing the workforce down and a few things that offer hope. If it is time for you to change your job there are tips to help you move on to the career of your dreams.

Are Staffing Mandates the Answer

Recently in Pennsylvania there is legislation proposed to mandate nurse staffing on hospital wards (this has been proposed in other states as well.) This is an interesting proposal as it describes the exact number of nurses to use in different situations. This may only be the beginning as there may be staffing levels proposed for doctors as well in the future. In healthcare, there are many things that go into staffing considerations, but if you are struggling in your job. It may be time to make a change.

How Old Is Too Old

First of all, the cover art for this episode is an artificial intelligence rendered age progression of Doctor Jarret (seems like a horrible simulation to me…) In addition to a couple of the leading Presidential candidates asking for a job that will take them well into their 80’s, the age old (no pun intended) question of how old is too old remains. In healthcare careers, there are no set guidelines for doctors, nurses, physicians, and executives, but should there be? Plan for your later years now and follow this journey.
