Dreams Of A Superbowl Champion

Dreams Of A Superbowl Champion June 3, 2020

You ever have a childhood dream? One so big it seemed unattainable, unreachable, perhaps unimaginable to others.  Everyone speaks of doing something they want to do when they grow up.  But how many of you have actually set out to make those dreams a reality? Have you laid out a plan to cultivate your future?  During this time when the country is experiencing a pandemic use the time to tune in to yourself and those unfulfilled dreams….

In episode 66 of Licensed to Live Mike Logan shares his experiences on and off the field, allowing him to transcend and playing the game for over a decade.  At the young age of 6, as a child living in the projects he announced to his friends that he was going to NFL, play for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and win a Super Bowl.  He made it a reality and overcame the astronomical percentages against him.

Things to do to help make your dreams a reality:

  1. First thing – put it out there! Speak it to fruition.  Set GOALS! Your mindset is the key to your success. If your mind is not right, you will not be able to achieve.
  2. Learn from the ‘dis’, unexpected or unknown – use it as an opportunity to hone in on your skills and better yourself.  Treat it as a lesson not a setback, and move forward.
  3. Business is business – don’t take it personal you must prepare.  Unexpected things can and will happen (layoff, sickness, injury).  You must be ready.
  4. Never be afraid to learn new skills.  Those skills can make you more marketable and open new doors of opportunity.
  5. Pass down lessons learned – share your experiences with others to promote growth and preparation.  This is one that I am particularly fond of.  I spend the better part of my week helping clients learn from my experience and the collective experience of others.  Sometimes you need a guide.

By following these simple steps, you can take yourself to levels that many won’t believe.  This is true whether you are a high performing executive, physician, or a superbowl champion.  If you need a little help deciding where to get started set up a free strategy session with me at www.timewithdoctorjarret.com.
